Mouse
Mice are very small, resourceful Awakened resembling mice. They often live in the nooks and
crannies of larger societies – in city alleyways, rural hedgerows, or even hidden in the walls of
buildings. Despite their size, mice are tenacious survivors with tight family groups. They are
cautious and clever, using wit to avoid danger. Mouse culture emphasizes community and
bravery: legends tell of heroic mouse warriors and tricksters outsmarting much larger foes.
Many mice worship or pay respect to a small household deity or a luck spirit, believing it
protects their families from the dangers of a big world. They tend to be humble and kind, though
they can be fiercely brave (sometimes to their own surprise) when cornered.

Mouse Traits. Your mouse character has the following species traits:

1. Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score
increases by 1.

2. Age. Mice have lifespans roughly similar to most small mammals, though they mature
faster. They reach adulthood by around 10 and live to about 50–60 years of age.

3. Alignment. Most mice are good or neutral. They are generally community-minded and
avoid evil acts. Their survival often depends on cooperation and trust, so lawful
tendencies are not uncommon, though their primary concern is keeping out of harm’s
way.

4. Size. Mice are diminutive. They stand between 2 and 3 feet tall and typically weigh
20–30 pounds. Your size is Small.

5. Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

6. Darkvision. Living in often dim or dark hideaways, you have developed keen low-light
vision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as
if it were dim light (black and white only).

7. Skulker. You have proficiency in the Stealth skill (mouse are naturally adept at sneaking
about unseen).

8. Nimbleness. You can move through and occupy a space as narrow as one inch wide and
as if you were a creature one size smaller. In addition, you can move through the space of
any creature that is of a size larger than yours (similar to a halfling’s nimbleness).

9. Small Frame. Your tiny stature allows you to go almost unnoticed at times. You have
advantage on Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) checks to hide small objects on your person,
and you can attempt to hide even when you are obscured only by a creature that is at
least one size larger than you.

10. Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Beast Speech.
