Most people in Westeros think that giants are creatures of legend or simply myths and stories made up to scare children. However, giants are more than just real, they are making their way down from the north to invade.

Those that live south of the Wall think that the Wildings living beyond it are nothing but primitive savages, not capable of utilizing any kind of advanced engineering in combat. That is, however, very much not the case.
